Objectives

The LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership qualifications are designed to provide focused and specialist courses, aligned with professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards where appropriate, with a clear emphasis on work-related skills. These qualifications focus on the development of practical skills alongside the necessary knowledge and understanding within the sector. They are particularly suitable for mature learners who wish to pursue a programme of study that directly relates to their work experience or to a future career path they wish to transition into.

Entry Requirement

This qualification is a stand-alone programme, but applicants must meet specific entry requirements:

  • LMQ Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Business Management, or any Level 6 recognised qualification in the UK or equivalent overseas qualifications, as judged by UK NARIC to be equivalent in standard to a Level 6 qualification in the UK (or higher).

  • A minimum of 3 years of senior management work experience in a reputed organisation.

Progression

The LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership enables learners to progress to a Master’s degree Top-Up programme in the relevant discipline or continue their studies at the same level or above. Graduates are eligible to progress to Master’s Top-Up programmes at many universities in the UK and internationally with advanced standing. Duration

  • This qualification is expected to be completed within a minimum of 12 months for full-time study.

  • Centres must ensure that the Total Qualification Time (TQM) or National Learning Hours (NLH) requirements are met according to the qualification guidelines.

  • The programme is flexible and can be delivered through face-to-face instruction, distance learning, lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
