Objectives

The LMQ Level 5 Advanced National Diploma in Business Management programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business organisations and the environments in which they operate. This qualification equips students with essential managerial skills, knowledge, and understanding, preparing them for roles in administration, management, or commercial sectors.

The programme blends theory with practical management skills, enabling students to progress to senior positions in business. It also allows for specialisation in areas such as human resource management, marketing, and financial services, offering a broad scope of career advancement opportunities.

Entry Requirement

This qualification is a stand-alone programme, but applicants must meet specific entry requirements:

  • LMQ Level 4 Diploma in Business Management or any equivalent qualification at Level 4 or above.

  • Qualifications recognised on the NQF or QCF of the United Kingdom or SCQF Level 6 and 7 in Business Management, or any overseas qualification deemed equivalent to a Level 4 qualification in the UK, as judged by UK NARIC.

Progression

Upon successful completion of the LMQ Level 5 Advanced National Diploma in Business Management, graduates have a range of progression opportunities. These include:

  • LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership

  • LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing Management

  • LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Human Resource Management

In addition, as this qualification is equivalent to Level 5, graduates are eligible for direct entry into Year 3 of a Bachelor’s degree programme. This qualification provides a pathway for both higher academic studies and career progression into management positions.

Duration

  • This qualification is designed to be completed in a minimum of 12 months for full-time study.

  • Centres must ensure that the Total Qualification Time (TQM) or National Learning Hours (NLH) are met as specified in the qualification guidelines.

  • The programme is flexible, and can be delivered through face-to-face instruction, distance learning, lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
