Objectives

The Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Human Resource Management programme is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the essential subjects needed to maintain a successful business in the face of ever-changing and challenging environments. This programme focuses on both theoretical and practical knowledge, with exposure to applications in both global and local business contexts. It enables learners to consolidate, develop, and demonstrate core competencies, which are vital for effective HR and leadership skills at all stages of their careers.

Entry Requirement

This is a stand-alone qualification, but there are specific entry requirements. Applicants must have obtained one of the following:

  • LMQ Level 5 Advanced National Diploma in Business Management, or

  • LMQ Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Business Management, or

  • Any qualification at the same level or higher, as recognised by the NQF or QCF of the United Kingdom, or SCQF Level 8 in Business Management, or equivalent national qualifications as judged by UK NARIC to be of the same standard as a Level 5 or 6 qualification in the UK (or higher).

Progression

The Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Human Resource Management offers a pathway to a wide range of progression opportunities. Graduates are eligible to continue their studies towards a Master’s degree Top-Up programme in the relevant discipline or proceed with further studies at the same level or above. This qualification allows students to progress to Master’s Top-Up programmes at many universities in the UK and internationally with advanced standing. Duration

  • The qualification is expected to be completed in a minimum of 12 months for full-time study.

  • Centres must ensure that the Total Qualification Times (TQM) or National Learning Hours (NLH) requirements are met as per the qualification guidelines.

  • The programme is flexible, with delivery options that include face-to-face instruction, distance learning, lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
