Objectives
The LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology is designed to provide focused and specialised courses that align with professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards, where applicable, with a strong work-related emphasis. The programme places significant emphasis on the development of practical skills, alongside the necessary knowledge and understanding of the sector. This qualification is particularly suitable for mature learners who wish to pursue a programme directly related to their work experience or to transition into an area of employment they aspire to move into in the future.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners gain national recognition by employers, enabling them to progress within their current employment or transition into new opportunities, as well as continue further study within the vocational field.
Entry Requirement
This is a stand-alone qualification, but applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

LMQ Level 6 Graduate Diploma in IT, or any Level 6 recognised qualification accepted by the LMQ Education Board.

Overseas qualifications deemed by UK NARIC to be equivalent in standard to a Level 6 qualification in the UK (or higher).

Alternatively, applicants with 3 years of senior management work experience in the IT sector within a reputed organisation may also be considered.
Progression
The LMQ Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology provides learners with an excellent pathway to further study or career advancement. Graduates are eligible to progress to a Master’s degree Top-Up programme in the relevant discipline or continue their studies at the same level or above. The qualification is designed to be completed within a minimum of 12 months for full-time study.
